Introduction

This course covers both how to analyse the current organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for effectiveness as well as the development of new KPIs to drive different organisational behavior.

  • How to develop leading and lagging metrics and KPIs specific for any organisation to drive the right behavior and ensure alignment of the maintenance and reliability organisation
  • Specific tips for exposing others and providing "buy in" to new metrics and Key Performance Indicators in order to drive the right behavior
  • How to develop KPIs for floor level personel which will hire the maintenance staff
  • The develoment process for great presentations using MS PowerPoint
  • KPIs for best maintenance and reliability practices
  • How to develop and define roles and responsibilities for metrics using a RACI chart

Target audience

This workshop is designed for the following profiles: Maintenance and Engineering Managers, Maintenance and Reliability Engineers, Corporate Maintenance and Reliability Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, Planners and Coordinators.

About the lecturer

Shon Isenhour, CMRP, Director of Education and Work Execution Management.

Shon specializes in Business Process Management, Strategic Planning, Organizational Change Management, and Reliability Engineering and has lead improvement initiatives for industries such as pharmaceuticals, metals, petrochemical, paper, and power generation, among others. He is an engineering graduate of North Carolina State University and has become an expert in the implementation of holistic reliability solutions using tools such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), as well as Six Sigma and Lean to drive significant bottom line results.
 
Shon is currently serving as an Executive Board member and past Director of Education for the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals and is a past committee vice chairman in the area of benchmarking. Shon is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), and has been certified by Prosci and Colorado State University as a Change Management Professional. He is a 2010 Plant Engineering Future 30 honoree as well as being the recipient of the Solutions Magazine Best Article Award for 2010.
